Jesus - a terrorist threat? hmm...

Very excited about the rest of the year - our teaching series will be in the gospels mainly Mark. So how do you get to heaven anyway? This rich guy asks Jesus about that one day. Jesus answer is both abrupt, provocative, and pretty rude. That's what I love about Jesus. When you strip away all the facelifts and makeoverswe've given him over the centuries and just get after how the Bible presents him, you get a disturbing, amazing, stress you out person. It struck me the other day that they don't hunt down, arrest, trump up charges and execute religious figures because they're a little unique or provocative. You only arrest and kill people who are a threat to you and to your way of life. I'm not saying Jesus is a terrorist but you have to wonder if that's exactly how the leadership perceived him - someone who was popular with the people and who had galvanized enough support to be a serious threat.
Makes me wonder if i really get what it means to follow him...
